Redesign of SAP® Authorizations
SIVIS as a Service
The authorisation concept in SAP ERP does not normally allow to limit permissions to individual financial years. However, this is particularly relevant for tax audits. As of 1 January 2002, the electronic tax audit was enshrined in law in § 147 (6) of the German Tax Code. The opinion of the Finance Administration is in the BMF letter of 16.07.2001 (BStBl. 2001 I)"Principles on data access and the verifiability of digital documents"(GDPdU). The electronic control check can be performed in Germany on three types of access: Immediate access: The tax authority shall have the right to inspect the stored data (read-only access) and to use the taxpayer's hardware and software to verify the data, including the master data and links. Mean Access: The tax authority may require the taxable person to perform the read-only processing of the data in accordance with its specifications. Volume Release: Alternatively, the tax administration may require the taxable person to have the stored documents available to it for evaluation on a machine-usable medium.

If a user does not have a print permission for an output device (S_SPO_DEV privilege object), an instant print flag may be rescinded, which means that a spool job created during the job step would not print immediately. If archive parameters are passed when scheduling a step, a check is performed on the object S_WFAR_PRI. If the Step user does not have a matching permission, an error message is displayed.
Customise SAP_ALL Profile Contents
Another important factor that should be considered in an authorization concept is to use a uniform naming convention because, on the one hand, many things cannot be changed after the initial naming and, on the other hand, this ensures searchability in the SAP system. In addition, the preset authorization roles of the SAP system should never be overwritten or deleted, but only copies of them should be created, which can then be adapted as desired.

Always make sure you use the latest version of the Note Assistant. To do this, look for SAP hints about the BC-UPG-NA component in the system recommendations. We also recommend that you perform the security patch process as part of a release or support package upgrade to avoid additional testing by security advisories already released at the time of the upgrade.

Assigning a role for a limited period of time is done in seconds with "Shortcut for SAP systems" and allows you to quickly continue your go-live.

To enable it, you must make changes in the customising of the PRGN_CUST table.

Also essential parameters, such as NO_IMPORT_ALL and VERS_AT_IMP should be set correctly, so that on the one hand only all released requests are transported and on the other hand the transported versions are logged.
