Permissions with Maintenance Status Changed or Manual
AUTHORIZATIONS IN SAP SYSTEMS
Which users have a specific role (PFCG)? To answer this question you start with the transaction PFCG - the mother of all transactions in the environment of SAP roles and authorizations. Select a role and click on the "Users" tab.
The SAP authorization concept also maps the organization of authorizations within the SAP system. The organizational structure defines responsibilities and the authorization hierarchy, while the process organization specifies process steps and the activities and authorization objects required for them in SAP. The authorization concept must therefore be flexible enough to allow future changes in the organization to be implemented quickly and in compliance with the rules.

You noticed that the maintenance status of the permissions in PFCG roles changes when you maintain, change, or manually add authorization objects? Find out what the permission status is. When deleting or adding transactions in the role menu of PFCG roles, the respective permissions in the PFCG role have the Maintenance Status Standard. Add or change the permissions, the Maintenance Status changes to either Care or Changed. You may have seen the Maintenance Status Manual before. What are the background to this maintenance status and what do they actually say?
System users are also intended for anonymous access. They are used in technical operations that require a user, such as batch runs or RFC connections. With them, therefore, no dialogue login is possible on the SAP system, but only the login via RFC call. Multiple logins are always possible for a system user, and the password modification rules (see also the explanation under "Service Users") do not apply. The password of a system user always has the status Productive and can only be changed by the user administrator.
During go-live, the assignment of necessary authorizations is particularly time-critical. The "Shortcut for SAP systems" application provides functions for this purpose, so that the go-live does not get bogged down because of missing authorizations.
The system will propose to call the interface "PFCG_1"; You can simply confirm this.
The selection is made in the start image of the report, e.g. via the table name or the selection of options for logging.
