Optimise trace analysis
What are the advantages of SAP authorizations?
You cannot increase the retention time afterwards; Therefore, you should adjust the configuration in good time before starting a project. In addition, you should change the settings of the stat/rfcrec and stat/rfc/distinct profile parameters. For example, you should increase the value of stat/rfcrec to 30, and stat/rfc/distinct should be set to 1. This improves the completeness of the recorded RFC usage data. For details on the technical improvements, see SAP Note 1964997.

The following sections first describe and classify the individual components of the authorization concept. This is followed by an explanation of which tasks can be automated using the Profile Generator.
Schedule PFUD transaction on a regular basis
Our example role MODELING makes it clear that it is possible to assign different types of privilege to a role. The SAP HANA Studio shows you in the administration interface which user (the so-called grantor) has assigned the respective privilege to this role (granted). By filtering and sorting, you can optimise the appearance of the role content. Depending on the type of privilege, you will be presented with the appropriate details by selecting an entry.

Permissions must have both identical maintenance status (default, maintained, modified, manual) and an identical active status (active or inactive). Exceptions represent changed permissions and manual permissions; these are summarised when the active status is identical.

"Shortcut for SAP systems" is a tool that enables the assignment of authorizations even if the IdM system fails.

You must apply the adjustment manually in the PFCG role.

This also applies to structural permissions.
