Lack of definition of an internal control system (ICS)
You can greatly facilitate the maintenance of permissions in controlling by defining the RESPAREA field as the organisational level, and thus using your cost centre and profit centre hierarchies. In the SAP system, you can define cost centre hierarchies and profit centre hierarchies. For example, they can map the expiration organisation or a matrix organisation in your company. To facilitate the mapping of permissions for the controlling reports, you can grant permissions to nodes in those hierarchies. You can do this by assigning permissions through the RESPAREA field, which is used in certain authorization objects in the controlling. We would like to facilitate the creation of roles for these permissions by explaining to you which activities are necessary in advance to define the RESPAREA field as an organisational level.

How is it possible to jump from one transaction to another without checking the eligibility for the target transaction? With the CALL TRANSACTION statement! In this tip, we will explain how you can grant permissions for jumps from one transaction to another using the ABAP CALL TRANSACTION command, or actively determine which checks to perform. The CALL TRANSACTION statement does not automatically check the user's permission to perform the invoked transaction. If no verification takes place in the invoked programme, it must be installed in the calling programme by adding additional features for the eligibility check.
BASICS FOR USING SAP REPORTS
Incorrect use of the user types and password rules can result in the shutdown of the RFC interfaces. Find out what types of users you can use and how the password rules affect these types of users. In the SAP system, you can choose between different user types when creating users. These user types control the login behaviour and also the impact of password rules on the user. This can lead to undesirable behaviour, especially if the parameter for the validity of the initial password is set. It is often not known that the password rules also apply to users of the communication type. Communication users usually use an initial password because a dialogue is not possible and the password is not changed. If parameters for the validity of the initial password are now also introduced, these also apply to communication users. We will show you how to prevent such problems and give you an overview of the types of users and the impact of the password rules.

Permissions in the Permission Tree with status are only deleted if the last transaction associated with the permission has been deleted from the Role menu. Delete and recreate the profile and permissions All permissions are created anew. Previously maintained, changed or manual values will be lost and deleted. The exception here is the values that are filled by the organisation levels.

For the assignment of existing roles, regular authorization workflows require a certain minimum of turnaround time, and not every approver is available at every go-live. With "Shortcut for SAP systems" you have options to assign urgently needed authorizations anyway and to additionally secure your go-live.

You can disable this new behaviour for the SAP_ALL profile by setting the customising switch ADD_S_RFCACL to the value YES in the table PRGN_CUST.

The complete processing of a transport in the development system consists of four steps: Creating and releasing a transport request (the actual transport container), creating and releasing a transport task (the authorization for individual users to attach objects to the respective transport request).
