Implementing Permissions Concept Requirements
Goal of an authorization concept
Roles can be assigned to users directly through user management in the SU01 transaction, role maintenance in the PFCG transaction, or mass change of users in the SU10 transaction. However, if the employee changes his or her position in the company, the old roles must be removed and new roles assigned according to the new activities. Because PFCG roles are created to represent job descriptions, you can use organisational management to assign roles to users based on the post, job, etc.

This solution is only available via a support package starting with SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 731 and requires a kernel patch. For details on the relevant support packages, see SAP Note 1891583. In principle, user login to the application server can then be restricted by setting the new login/server_logon_restriction profile parameter.
Permissions objects already included
The use of suggestion values not only brings advantages when creating or maintaining PFCG roles, but also when maintaining permissions as a rework of an upgrade. Furthermore, these values can be used as a basis for risk definitions. Before creating PFCG roles, it is useful to maintain the suggested values for the transactions used. However, you do not need to completely revise all of the suggested values that are delivered by SAP.

Of course, these objects can be adapted to the requirements of a company at any time. If a new program is required in the namespace of a company, the programmer decides which authorization objects should be checked in this program. If the standard objects do not meet the desired requirements, the programmer can create his own authorization objects that contain the required authorization fields.

If you get into the situation that authorizations are required that were not considered in the role concept, "Shortcut for SAP systems" allows you to assign the complete authorization for the respective authorization object.

Authorization field: Authorization fields are the basic elements of an authorization object.

You must enable a role that you have created as a Design-Time object in the Design Time Repository before it can be associated with a user.
