Authorization object documentation
Maintaining Authorization Objects (Transaction SU21)
If the security advice change affects normal programme flow, you should schedule application tests. If only exceptional treatments are adjusted, you can omit or severely limit the test.
System users are also intended for anonymous access. They are used in technical operations that require a user, such as batch runs or RFC connections. With them, therefore, no dialogue login is possible on the SAP system, but only the login via RFC call. Multiple logins are always possible for a system user, and the password modification rules (see also the explanation under "Service Users") do not apply. The password of a system user always has the status Productive and can only be changed by the user administrator.
Customizing
Software license management is essential to get an accurate overview of all SAP transactions. We provide you with a transaction database in which the transactions are evaluated with named user license types. Your advantage: the actual usage of your SAP users is matched with the transaction database. "SAP direct access" analyzes the licenses for actual usage and classifies the critical cases. With SAP license optimization we maintain your individual license contracts and compare the results with LAW. We can point out discrepancies, including drill-down to user/client level, directly.
We would like to point out that after defining and implementing a authorization object, you should no longer change the permission field list, as this will cause inconsistencies. Once you have determined that you want to add more fields to your check, assign your authorization object to the AAAA object class and create a new authorization object.
Authorizations can also be assigned via "Shortcut for SAP systems".
You should also always assign custom tables to a table permission group, otherwise they will also be assigned the table permission group &NC&.
To do this, you will be prompted automatically when the transaction GGB0 is first called.
