In this SAP Solution Manager training, we teach you how SAP Solution Manager works. You will receive the necessary know-how to implement SAP SolMan yourself.
A simpler option is to output the transactions used by the expert as a list and to obtain an overview of the task areas. The function block SWNC_COLLECTOR_GET_AGGREGATES is very suitable for exporting the used transactions in a list. As an alternative, one can directly use the workload monitor in the transaction code ST03N.
Integration of SAP systems with Solution Manager
The integration of the SAP basis enables solutions to be introduced faster and better integrated into the existing system landscape. This is partly because the solutions are already known in advance and the necessary knowledge exists or is already planned. This will make it easier to implement the roadmap. It should also be noted that a clear strategy on digitisation and also on cloud products in general, as well as their possible uses, sets out a framework for action that all parties can follow. The participants thus know where the company wants to develop or orientate itself, what is possible and what is not possible or permitted. Thus, both companies and the parties have a valid point of reference at all times. This also leads to an increased acceptance within the SAP basis and a more practical implementation for the SAP basis, as the mentioned expertise is already present in the strategy. As a result, this makes it easier and cheaper to ensure operation in a manageable system landscape.
In order to ensure the necessary expertise both in the direction of application and application-related IT departments as well as in the direction of infrastructure units, the SAP basis should be divided into an infrastructure-related SAP basis and an application-orientated SAP basis. The infrastructure-based SAP basis acts as a contact level and point of contact for IT departments such as virtualisation, storage management and databases. The application-orientated SAP basis serves as the contact and coordination level for application-related topics. BUILDING OVERARCHING EXPERT TEAMS WITH SAP basis INVOLVEMENT To reduce organisational friction points as well as to optimally handle selected topics, it is recommended to set up expert teams with the participation of the SAP basis. These teams of experts can be virtually organised and therefore of temporary duration and consist of participants from all relevant IT disciplines or business areas. If the topic of the virtual group of experts is the focus of the SAP basis, the SAP basis will take over the management and control of the expert team.
Tools such as "Shortcut for SAP Systems" complement missing functions in the SAP basis area.
In this context, SAP Basis refers to all transactions, programs and objects that control the functions of the overall system.
In addition, it is possible to approve activities with special rights after an evaluation.
